DTOM Law Enforcement Concealed Carry CORDURA NYLON Fanny Pack

 October 24, 2012

My wife and I recently obtained our conceal carry permits. We then wondered how we would be able to carry our weapons concealed with regular holsters when coats and jackets weren’t an option. I did some research on line and found that many people used fanny packs to carry. I then found the perfect fanny packs for both my wife and myself at R.A. Bock through the Amazon website. My wife carries a 3″ 38 Special and I carry a full size 9mm semi-automatic. I purchased the DTOM Cowhide leather fanny pack for her and the DTOM Law Enforcement Concealed Carry Fanny Pack CORDURA NYLON for myself. They were shipped and delivered within days of placing my order. Our guns fit perfectly inside the packs and are quickly and easily accessible if needed. The quaility of the packs are outstanding too. I would highly recommend R.A. Bock and these fanny packs to anyone who is looking for a good product and a way to carry in style.

Received my fanny pack this morning and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality. It easily accepts and conceals my husband’s 2″ barrel Taurus .38 special revolver as well as his Colt .45 Auto 5″ barrel. He highly recommends this product and seller!

A concealed carry holster for my wife.

DTOM Law Enforcement Concealed Carry Fanny Pack CORDURA NYLON – Black
I was searching for a concealed carry holster for my wife. She is very style minded and her style taste makes for a difficult situation in considering a concealed carry device. I came across the DTOM law Enforcement Concealed Carry Fanny Pack and from the description it sounded like it might be the answer. My wife expressed doubt as she does not care for fanny packs in general. When the DTOM Fanny pack arrived and I gave it to her she took it and disappeared into her bedroom. I went about my business and a while later she came up to me and said what you think. I said about what. She patted the DTOM Fanny Pack. It was so discrete that I did not notice she had it on. I ask if she had her pistol. She opened the zipper and she actually had two pistols in it, her S&W Body Guard and her Ruger LC9. She loves her DTOM Concealed Carry Fanny Pack and wears it every day. It fits flat to the body, it is quality made and carries the essentials discretely and the price is very acceptable.

Quality and workmanship for $20.00

At just $20. this holster is a most pleasant surprise. You don’t find this type of quality readily today. It is a rugged work of beauty. Heavy duty zippers allow you to rip down the front either using the metal tabs or just grabbing the top and pulling downward. Fanny pack is contoured and hugs your body rather than flop around so really ergonomically designed. I love this thing, it carries my Glock 19 well and would accommodate a larger pistol as well whether revolver or auto. The holding band and muzzle/barrel sleeve is ambidextrous so right and left handers can use this. You will not be disappointed with this purchase believe me. Might sound weird but, I think women as well as men could wear this holster without shame.

I think this CC fanny pack is well made . My Glock 22 fits well in this holster and it has all those compartments for storage. The over all profile of this fanny pack is slim and does not stick out a long way from your body . I would buy this product again.

I like it!

I bought one of these to see if I liked it or not. I think I’m going to buy another now that I’ve held it and put my gun in it.

This is made from stout materials. My average sized 9 MM easily fits inside, and the 14 round magazines easily fit into the lockets on the belt. The gun can face either direction, making it useful for lefties or righties. The belt is wide and comfortably transfers the weight of the gun around your waist.

The pack is simple to open. Just zip the two zippers to the point closest to the ring you want to pull when you close it up. When you want to open, just yank on the loop, or stick your thumb in between the zippers, and rip it open. The zippers slide easily.

The gun is held solidly by the muzzle sleeve and the elastic band around the trigger guard area. It won’t fall out when you yank the cover open, but comes out easily when you want it to.

I’m not sure I’d carry with one chambered with this holster. The elastic doesn’t really keep you from accidentally sticking a finger on the trigger while you are feeling for it the way my “in the waistband” holster does. Last thing you want to do is Barny Fyfe your butt cheek or worse, your spouse or child when you are in a hurry to get the gun out. Save the round chambered carrying for your holster that has Kydex or thick leather covering the trigger area completely.

I might at some point mold a piece of Kydex around the trigger area and attach that to the elastic in this holster so I can carry with one chambered with peace of mind. I’d mold it a little wider than the elastic and cut grooves for the elastic to hold the Kydex in place. If I ever do that, I’ll post pictures and update the review.

Good, quality pack!

I bought this mostly to use when walking, hiking and cycling. It works excellent for my purposes.
My Walther PPQ fits in it nicely. I use the larger of the two accessory pouches for my cellphone (Droid X2). It’s a good fit for this.
The other pouch is pretty small but can be used to secure your keys or what have you. Bottom line, I can recommend this pack!

well made should last a long time. fits a ruger p95 with no problem. It has elastic straps to hold the gun in place so it dosent fall when you open the zipper to draw it out.

Very nice CC fanny pack

If you’re considering a concealed-carry fanny pack you’ve undoubtedly already thought about the various pros and cons of this mode of carry. If you wear it in front you can draw your weapon in a reasonable amount of time in an emergency situation, but you’ll look like a dork the rest of the time. If you wear it in back (like for example if you’re bicycling, which is when I often wear this particular gear) it’s not at all fast on the draw, but at least you’ll have your weapon with you, which of course is better than not having it at all.

Having stated the obvious, this is a very nice implementation of a CC fanny pack. It’s constructed of ballistic nylon that has a high-quality feel, and the design is fairly clever in the sense that the pack itself looks too small to hold a full-frame auto, but it has extensions on either side that allows it to hold a handgun of nearly any type or size.

My only complaint is that the belt adjustment seems to slip a bit; I have to tighten it almost every time I put it on. Other than that, it’s a great product and I’m thoroughly pleased with it.
